Former Senate President Bukola Saraki says he’s the type of person Nigeria needs as president to nudge the country back to the paths of greatness and prosperity.
Saraki spoke on Monday when he visited Akure, Ondo state capital, to woo delegates ahead of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) primary election.
Saraki, a presidential aspirant in the PDP, said he’s intellectually fortified to turn around the fortune of the country.
He said that the 2023 elections would be a turning point for the country, stressing that Nigeria needed a president with an understanding of the economy and the capacity to make sacrifices to rescue Nigeria from its current challenges.
Saraki said that Nigeria needed a healthy president with the energy to administer the country for 24 hours or more if it was necessary.
He stated that his political career and antecedents have shown that he has the capacity to be president of the country.
Saraki promised that he would replicate his achievements when he was a Senate President if voted as president of Nigeria.
