On Wednesday, the Authority of the Kaduna State University (KASU) ordered students and academic staff to resume full academic activities on May 9, 2022.
This is despite the fact that the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, is still on strike.
The school administration urged all students and lecturers of the institution to resume academic activities in a circular dated April 26 and signed by its academic secretary, Abdullahi Zubairu.
It advised all the lecturers and students to abide by the academic calendar.
Recall that the Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige, few weeks ago, said the decision to suspend the industrial action embarked upon by ASUU could only be taken by the union.
“It depends on ASUU. The ball is in their court. They should go and meet the Benimi Briggs Committee and look at what the committee is doing and make further inputs so that the work can be accelerated,” the minister said
