Tahir Fadlallah, proprietor of Kano’s famed Tahir Guest Palace, has died.
The 74-year-old businessman died Friday morning in Beirut, Lebanon’s capital.
He was taken to Beirut’s Clemenceau Medical Center a fortnight ago and died in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
After contracting COVID-19, Fadlallah was transferred from Kano to Beirut on April 23, 2020.
The industrialist moved to Nigeria at a young age, with his parents. He is survived by a wife and five children.
President Muhammadu Buhari’s media aide, Garba Shehu confirmed his demise in a Facebook post.
“We have lost Tahir. May Allah grant him Aljannah”, the spokesman wrote.
