On Thursday, May 5, 2022, the Kwara State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will hold its national delegates congresses across the state’s 16 local governments.
The party’s state Publicity Secretary, Prince Tunji Moronfoye, on Tuesday, declared this in Ilorin.
He stated that all local government chairmen of the party in the state have been ordered to hold the congresses in compliance with the terms of the party’s constitution.
Members of the state executive committee and the national PDP Congress monitoring committee, according to Prince Moronfoye, would be on the ground to oversee all sessions.
He complimented the party’s thronging members on the successful completion of the three-person Ad-Hoc ward Congresses on April 30th, 2022.
The spokesman informed that the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) staff and designated security agencies will also be present at each venue to monitor proceedings.
He appealed to party members to conduct the congresses in an orderly fashion, befitting of the great political party that it is.
