Antonio Conte, the manager of Tottenham Hotspur, has declared Liverpool and Manchester City the finest teams in the world.
Conte made the remarks ahead of Tottenham’s match against Liverpool on Saturday.
The Italian will take his club to Anfield to face a Liverpool side that is still in contention for a quadruple this season.
Jurgen Klopp’s team won the Carabao Cup in February, are only one point behind Manchester City in the Premier League, and have reached the FA Cup and Champions League finals.
Liverpool survived a scare against tiny Spanish club, Villarreal to qualify for their third Champions League final in five years.
“We are playing against one of the best teams in the world, away. We prepare like usual,” he told his pre-match press conference on Thursday.
“I have watched the game against Villarreal, and it was incredible the calm that the team showed in a difficult situation. They were 2-0 down and the atmosphere was very difficult. They are one of the best teams in the world, with Manchester City.”
