The All Progressives Congress (APC) national vice chairman, South East, Ijeomah Arodiogbu, has advised the presidential aspirants from the region to close ranks and work together.
He gave the advice in a statement on Monday.
He noted that the need for the aspirants to be united and work together towards a common goal had become imperative in light of widespread consensus of letting the South-East produce the next president.
“I wish to appeal to all the APC presidential aspirants from the South East zone to work together as they are pushing their aspirations since the general mood in the nation is to have the next president from the South East in order to give a sense of belonging and further unite the country.
“I also call on stakeholders in the South East to mobilise and sensitise members to obtain and revalidate their permanent voter’s card as well as get their APC registration cards. We frowned at a situation where the zone has been rated as the zone with the lowest voter turnout and voters apathy.
“I, however, commend the stakeholders, especially the governor of Imo State for all his support and good leadership and advise the other key stakeholders to always support the party’s activities in the zone to achieve the desired result”
