A blast suspected to be a bomb explosion, has again exploded on Tuesday night in Jalingo, the capital of Taraba State.
The explosion occurred at about 9pm a few metres away from the military base located in the Jalingo metropolis.
According to Daily Post, a source said the explosive was thrown into the military base by a passerby
The explosion, as noticed by, is coming barely a month after a similar incident occurred in Iware community in Ardo-Kola council that led to massive destruction of lives and property.
Apart from that of Iware, it would be recalled that another explosion occurred in Nukkai area of Jalingo city last month.
At the time of filing this report, the number of casualties cannot be ascertained, as palpable tension was observed to have enveloped the state capital.
The state police Public Relation Officer (PPRO), Usman Abdullahi, who confirmed the incident said that he heard the sound and that he has confirmed that it was an explosion, but could not ascertain if anyone died, Daily Post reports.
Andullahi, however, promised to furnish our reporter with detailed information as soon as they are made available to the command.
