Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige, has shelved his presidential ambition.
The minister pulled out of the 2023 presidential race to retain his ministerial seat.
The former governor of Anambra State and member of the All Progressives Congress announced his withdrawal in a statement on Friday.
Recall that President Muhammadu Buhari had on Wednesday ordered his cabinet members who are eyeing elective public positions to resign.
The order is not unconnected to the imbroglio surrounding section 84 of the newly amended electoral act, which states that appointees must resign their appointment before vying for public office.
No fewer than ten ministers have since turned in their resignation letter.
