The Social Democratic Party (SDP) will conduct its national convention in May 2022, from the 28th to the 30th.
Chief Supo Shonibare, the party’s interim National Chairman, made the announcement during a press conference in Abuja on Thursday.
According to the Acting National Chairman, the party’s ward and local government congresses will take place on May 19, 2022, while the state congresses will take place on May 20, 2022.
Shonibare said that “usurpers” who joined the party in 2018 conspired with some parts of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to make the party ineffectual through factionalization.
