A member of the Anambra State House of Assembly representing Aguata II, Okechukwu Okoye has been beheaded.
Okoye’s severed head was found on Saturday at Nnobi in Idemili South Local Government Area of Anambra State.
The deceased lawmaker, who represented the constituency of the State Governor, Chukwuma Soludo in the State House of Assembly, was kidnapped last week.
Hon Okechukwu Okoye’s head was found at Nnobi in Idemili South local government area where it was hanged.
His body was not there with strong indications that the killers made away with it.
The Anambra Police spokesman Ikenga Tochukwu confirmed that the lawmaker has been killed.
He said: “His head was found along Nnobi road today (Saturday). There is no suspect in custody yet.”
