Otunba Yinka Akerele, a former governorship candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party in Ekiti State, has emerged as the party’s House of Representatives candidate for the Ekiti North Federal Constituency.
WITHIN NIGERIA gathered that Akerele emerged unopposed.
Joju Fayose, the son of former Governor Ayo Fayose, won the ticket for the Ekiti Central Federal Constituency 1, which includes Ado and Irepodun/Ifelodun Local Government Areas.
He received 69 votes, compared to nine for his opponent, Deji Adeosun.
Also running for Ekiti Central Federal Constituency 2 is Fayose’s spokesperson, Lere Olayinka.
On Sunday in Aramoko Ekiti, Olayinka received 54 votes to defeat Mr Victor, who received 45 votes for the position.
In Ekiti North Federal Constituency 2, Babatunde Ajayi polled 63 votes to defeat Hon Funmi Ogun, who had 33 votes.
The primary election was conducted at Ido Ekiti in Ido Osi Local Government Area.
