Ahead of the Super Eagles’ international friendlies against Mexico and Ecuador, at least eight players from the Nigeria Professional Football League have left the country for the United States of America.
Goalkeepers Ojo Olorunleke (Enyimba) and Adewale Adeyinka (Akwa United) made the trip along with Chiamaka Madu (Rivers United), Victor Mbaoma (Enyimba), Ibrahim Buhari (Plateau United) and Ishaq Rafiu (Rivers United).
Remo Stars’ Isah Ali and Kwara United star Afeez Nosiru were not granted visas by the American embassy.
They were replaced by Katsina United defender Faisal Ali and Akwa United midfielder Babatunde Bello.
The foreign-based contingent are expected to start arriving at camp on Wednesday (today).
The Super Eagles will take on Mexico at the AT&T Stadium, Arlington, Texas on Saturday.
The second friendly against Ecuador will hold four days later at the Red Bull Arena, Harrison.
