Dino Melaye, former lawmaker who represented Kogi West in the eighth Assembly was seen hugging Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal, after the latter stepped down for ex-Vice President, Atiku Abubakar.
WITHIN NIGERIA had reported that Tambuwal stepped down from the presidential primary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at the national convention of the opposition party on Saturday.
Tambuwal revealed his decision at the National Convention at MKO Abiola Stadium in Abuja, while urging all his supporters and delegates to vote for Atiku.
As he walked to his seat, an excited Melaye ran to him and lifted him off the ground in joy.
Melaye also saluted Tambuwal as both men exchanged handshakes.
