If the north retains power in 2023, Nigerians are being advised to blame two All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential contenders, Bola Tinubu and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.
Deji Adeyanju, an activist lawyer, made the remark in response to Atiku Abubakar’s nomination as the Peoples Democratic Party’s presidential candidate.
Tinubu and Osinbajo, according to Adeyanju, are power-hungry individuals.
In a series of tweets, the Abuja-based lawyer said that Osinbajo and Tinubu pioneered the idea that Nigeria’s president could be produced by anyone from any zone.
Yorubas who support Osinbajo and Tinubu, according to Adeyanju, should be blamed if a Northern retains power.
He wrote: “Blame these two power hungry people for power staying in the North. They started this idea of everyone from anywhere can run for president when we all know power should go to the South East.
“Also blame the Yoruba people supporting them when their son is just finishing 8yrs as VP.”
