President Muhammadu Buhari and governors elected on the APC platform are meeting in the presidential villa in Abuja at the moment.
The meeting, which is taking place in the Council Chambers, could be linked to the All Progressive Congress’s presidential flagbearer election, which is set for June 6th.
While the meeting is in progress, the party’s screening committee, led by former National Chairman John Odigie Oyegun, is still busy screening aspirants for the primary election.
A total of 23 candidates are being screened for the primary election.
In other news, Senator Ibrahim Oloriegbe, has lost his bid to return to the National Assembly at the primary election of the All Progressive Congress, APC held in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital.
Oloriegbe, who represents Kwara Central Senatorial District lost to a philanthropist and Turaki of Ilorin, Malam Saliu Mustapha, who scored 136 votes.
