Sierra Leone’s training base in Conakry, Guinea, has welcomed five foreign-based players ahead of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Nigeria and Guinea-Bissau.
Mohamed Buya Turay, Augustus Kargbo, and Amadou Bakayoko are among the five players.
Kwame Queen and John Kamara are the other two.
In Conakry, 12 of the 25 invited players have arrived.
On Wednesday, the team’s first training session included Ibrahim Sessay, Donald Kamara, Saidu Mansaray, Musa Noah Camara, Lamin Conteh, and Saidu Bah Kamara.
On Thursday, Steve Caulker, Mustapha Bundu of Anderlecht, and Ibrahim Sillah will join the team.
The Leone Stars will come up against the Super Eagles at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja, on Thursday, June 9.
John Keister’s side will host Guinea-Bissau in a matchday two encounter at the General Lasana Conte Stadium, Conakry four days later.
