On Wednesday, President Muhammadu Buhari’s wife, Aisha Buhari, expressed her displeasure with the All Progressives Congress’ presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
WITHIN NIGERIA gathered that despite several requests, the First Lady refused to join her husband at the podium for the presentation of the party’s flag to Tinubu.
Even when officials from the Presidency came to tell her she was called to the podium, Aisha refused to move from her seat in the VIP section of Eagles Square.
Tinubu was, however, handed the flag by President Muhammadu Buhari as Aisha’s space on the podium was left vacant.
The former Lagos State Governor scored 1,271 to defeat his closest challenger, Rotimi Amaechi, who polled 316.
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, scored 235 to come third.
