The presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress, in the 2023 general elections, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has called on electorates in Ekiti State to vote for APC in exchange for money.
Tinubu stated this on Tuesday during a political rally in Ekiti State to campaign for the APC governorship candidate, Biodun Oyebanji ahead of the weekend’s governorship election.
The former Lagos State governor, who also spoke in the Yoruba language told the people to vote so that they can get money. He said, “To ba t’eka, o le te owo o” meaning, “if you don’t vote, you can’t hold money.”
“Vote to collect money. Whoever does not vote APC cannot collect money. If you don’t vote for APC, you will not collect money,” Tinubu said.
The National Leader of the APC boasted during the rally, saying, “I’ve never failed an election before.”
Tinubu, who also said the “Peoples Democratic Party is a poverty development party,” urged the people of the state to vote for the APC in the state and in the 2023 presidential election.
