Wales manager Ryan Giggs is likely to step down.
The former Manchester United winger has been on leave since November 2020 and will stand trial in Manchester on August 8 for domestic violence.
The 48-year-old is accused of using coercion and control over his ex-girlfriend Kate Greville.
On November 1, 2020, Giggs is accused of attacking Kate and causing her serious bodily harm, as well as assaulting her younger sister, Emma Greville, at his house in Worsley, Greater Manchester.
He has rejected the charges and has pled not guilty to all of them.
In Giggs’ absence, Robert Page led Wales to their first World Cup in 64 years and will be in charge in Qatar.
It is understood that Giggs, who was appointed in January 2018, did not want his situation to act as a distraction.
