The case against troubled Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Abba Kyari, won’t take too long in court, according to Brig-General Mohamed Buba Marwa (rtd), Chairman of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).
This was said by Marwa while he was a guest on Hard Copy on Channels Television.
He claims that the conviction of two additional defendants in the case demonstrates that the issue will be given the attention it requires.
“They have been convicted and jailed those two, I think that is a pointer that this is a case that will not last long,” Marwa said.
He added that the NDLEA has the cooperation on the matter, adding that the agencies have full confidence in the judiciary.
Two weeks ago, a Federal High Court in Abuja convicted and sentenced two co-defendants in a suit filed by the NDLEA against Kyari over an alleged drug deal to two years imprisonment.
