Cristiano Ronaldo, a forward for Manchester United, may be on the verge of a shocking transfer to Chelsea, a Premier League rival.
David Ornstein, a transfer expert for the BBC, claims this.
Ronaldo, who made it clear last week that he wants to leave Old Trafford, is reportedly a target for the Blues, according to Orstein.
Ronaldo, who has the most goals ever scored in the Champions League, is desperate to stay on the field.
Chelsea owner, Todd Boehly, is “intrigued” by the idea of buying the 37-year-old, while manager Thomas Tuchel is undecided.
Ornstein tweeted: “Chelsea considering Cristiano Ronaldo move. Man Utd currently say not for sale but #CFC monitoring & not ruling out.
“Mendes talks continue – Boehly/Eghbali intrigued by idea.
“Tuchel admires 37yo but unclear if he would approve.”
