Erik Ten Hag, the manager of Manchester United, has outlined the plans he has for his team ahead of their preseason games, including their matchup against Liverpool on Tuesday.
On Friday, the Red Devils boarded their flight to Asia to begin their preseason tour there.
In an extremely busy pre-season, United will play six friendlies in Thailand, Australia, Norway, and then back at Old Trafford.
Ten Hag stated that he is working hard to communicate his ideas and style of play to his players as United rebuilds.
“We want to play a proactive style of football,” he told the club’s media. “On the ball and off the ball. We are brave and willing to have the ball, to give each other options. But also off the ball, to get the pressing style is what we’re working for together.”
“Of course, I want to bring the energy to my team,” he said. “But I must say, the players do really well. They are really focused. They bring, for themselves, the energy.
“You see, they enjoy playing football. They enjoy playing football together and they really work well together.”
Manchester United plays against Liverpool in Bangkok on Tuesday before flying to the MCG to take on Melbourne Victory in Australia on Friday.
