Maduka Okoye, Watford’s new signing and Super Eagles goalkeeper, has stated that he is enjoying his time at Vicarage Road.
Okoye joined the Hornets from Sparta Rotterdam in the Eredivisie last season but spent the rest of the season in the Netherlands.
After recently joining the London club for pre-season training, the Nigerian international feels he has really settled in.
“It’s been fantastic. I’ve had a great time already, there are funny guys and good vibes here,” Okoye told the club’s official website.
“I think that’s important, we feel connected to other players and the staff, I’m settling in very well.”
The 22-year-old also reflected on his time during pre-season with his new teammates.
“It was nice, we had a good time,” he added.
“We worked very hard but we had fun and a smile on our faces, and we made steps in the right direction. Now we’re back and continuing with our hard work.”
