Following the announcement of Kashim Shettima as APC presidential running mate, Senior Pastor of Awaiting The Second Coming Of Christ Ministry, Adewale Giwa, has reacted, revealing why he thinks that it was the devil that pushed Bola Ahmed Tinubu into picking a Muslim deputy.
Explaining his point, Giwa, said considering the political and religious atmosphere in Nigeria, it is only a self-centered politician that would go for a Muslim-Muslim ticket.
He wondered how the APC presidential candidate arrived at such a decision, adding, “I am sure that the devil must have pushed them to make such a terrible mistake.”
The cleric said this in a statement he made available to DAILY POST on Thursday.
Giwa said that Timubu and the APC must have concluded in their minds to manipulate Nigerians with a view to achieving their goals.
“I listened to one of them a few days ago who said, ‘It’s a matter of time, Nigerians will put the noise over Muslim-Muslim ticket behind them’.
“Let me tell them that whatever they rely upon will disappoint them! How do you want to convince the Christian community to vote for you?” he asked.
“I am sure the citizens of Nigeria will not keep themselves aloof and watch them have their way.
“Why didn’t you run with the current president in 2015 when you earnestly lobbied for it? Why did you choose a Christian politician as VP?
“You deceived Nigerians in 2015 to vote for your party. You are coming again, wanting to become the president. To rule over fools?”
He said this was the time for Nigerians to get it right, adding that if they don’t, they will never get it again.
“How do you want the people to forget the 2015 electioneering promises which your party never fulfilled?
“Are you not the one who sold a bad product to Nigerians in 2015? You have no shame…if not, you wouldn’t have come out, trying to convince Nigerians in order to become the president.
“What do you want to achieve with your Muslim-Muslim ticket? What has your party done to stop the horrific killing of Christians in Nigeria? What has it done to end kidnapping, banditry, and economic hardship among others?
“Nigerians have to decide their own destiny and resist this evil agenda. If they get away with their plans, then, Nigeria will be among the Islamic nations, God forbid!” he said.
