The All Progressives Congress (APC) will formally unveil its Vice Presidential candidate, Senator Kashim Shettima, to the Nigerian public on Wednesday.
This is stated in a statement issued by Sulaiman Muhammad Argungu, the party’s National Organising Secretary.
The event is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. at the Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Centre in Abuja.
The statement said members of the National Executive Committee (NEC), Progressives Governors’ Forum, APC Caucus in the National Assembly, Federal Executive Council (FEC), Diplomatic Corps, presidential aspirants at the June 2022 Special National Convention, APC State Chairmen, APC State Secretaries and APC State Organising Secretaries, are expected to witness the unveiling.
Shettima would have been unveiled last week but the event was postponed due to the Osun Governorship election.
The APC Presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu had recently picked Shettima as his running mate for 2023.
The move had attracted criticism as he was accused of running under a Muslim-Muslim ticket for 2023 presidency.
