Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City, reportedly declined the chance to bring Neymar to PSG this summer, according to Le Parisien.
City won the Premier League for the fourth time in five years last season.
But Guardiola’s team was defeated in the Champions League once more.
Erling Haaland, Julian Alvarez, and Kalvin Phillips have all been added to the squad as part of City’s significant summer roster strengthening effort to break their continental hoodoo in the upcoming season.
Neymar was not included in Guardiola’s attacking lineup, though.
It is understood City were offered the Brazilian over recent weeks, but rejected the opportunity to sign him.
PSG were reportedly pushing to see Bernardo Silva included in a potential deal, however City refused to entertain the ambitious offer.
Neymar’s future has been called into question this summer, with new PSG sporting director Luis Campos was willing to offload the 30-year-old in the current window.
