The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), on Friday, arraigned a former Accountant-General of the Federation, Ahmed Idris, and three others before a Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court in Abuja over alleged N109 billion fraud.
The suspects are currently in the courtroom for the arraignment.
EFCC’s spokesperson, Wilson Uwujaren, had on Thursday, said the anti-graft agncy would arraign Idris at the FCT High Court, Abuja before Justice Adeyemi Ajayi.
Idris and others are facing 14 charges of stealing and criminal breach of trust to the tune of N109,485,572,691.9.
The former AGF is being arraigned alongside three others, including: Godfrey Olusegun Akindele, Mohammed Usman and Gezawa Commodity Market and Exchange Limited.
WITHIN NIGERIA reports that the federal government suspended Idris as the Accountant-General of the Federation after his arrest in Kano State over the fraud allegation some weeks ago.
