Yet-to-be-identified gunmen have killed Odeinyefa Ogbolosingha, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party in his residence in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.
According to SaharaReporters, the gunmen, dressed in military camouflage, shot dead the 53-year-old deceased in his house along Edepie-Imiringi road in the state capital at about 2pm on Friday.
The state police spokesman, Asinim Butswat, who confirmed the development, stated “Police operatives responded to a distress call at about 1400 hours on Friday, 22 July, 2022, that armed men shot at Odeinyefa Ogbolosingha at his residence on Imiringi road, Yenagoa.
The victim was rushed to the Federal Medical Centre, Yenagoa, for treatment, but he was confirmed dead. Investigation has commenced.”
The deceased, Ogbolosingha was an administrative officer in the State Civil Service, and a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
He was also Secretary, Okordia/Zarama Cluster Development Board, and he was killed a few hours after discharging his ailing wife from the hospital to the house.
