The presidential flagbearer of Labour Party, Mr Peter Obi has spoken on the possibility of teaming up with Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, counterpart, Atiku Abubakar, to unseat the All Progressives Congress, APC.
There have been rumours that Obi, who was Atiku’s running mate in the 2019 presidential election, may step down for his former boss before the 2023 elections.
But speaking yesterday when he featured on Channels TV programme, the former Anambra State Governor debunked the speculation, saying he’s in presidential contest to win.
The LP candidate opined that he possessed the qualities of winning the election scheduled for February 2023.
“Nobody goes into a match thinking of what will happen, everybody is going there to win. I am going into this contest to win, I am going into this contest to be the president of Nigeria.
“I think I have all it takes to win,” the LP’s flagbearer declared.
