Brendan Rodgers, manager of Leicester City, has communicated with Arsenal regarding the potential transfer of midfielder Youri Tielemans.
Tielemans wants to know his future as soon as possible, according to Rodgers, following Arsenal’s interest in acquiring him this summer.
Tielemans, whose contract with Leicester is about to expire, has told the Foxes that he wants to leave this summer.
Tielemans is on Arsenal’s shortlist, and Leicester is willing to sell him for somewhere around £30 million.
But Arsenal has yet to make an approach for the Belgium international.
“There is that possibility, but there has not been anything for him, we haven’t had any approaches to the club yet on that,” Rodgers said as quoted by Metro UK when asked about the prospect of Tielemans leaving Leicester.
“Of course, it is in the back of the mind, that sort of what-if scenario, but he doesn’t want anything to drag on either.”
