Five-month old baby boy was amputated by armed bandits during attack in Danda Chugwi village, Jos South Local Government Area Plateau State.
WITHIN NIGERIA recalls that the bandits suspected to be Fulani militias stormed the community at around 10:00 pm on Sunday, July 31, killed eight persons including four children and a teenager, all said to be members of a family.
The National Publicity Secretary of the Berom Youth Moulders Association, Rwang Tengwong, identified the deceased as Pam Dawho, 59; Nvou Gyang, 43; Jah Pam, 50; Ruth Bot, 16; Chundung Gyang, 9; Mercy Gyang,12; and Benjamin Gyang, 5.
An eight months old baby who was injured in the attack later died in the hospital on Monday morning
Among those injured was the five-month-old baby boy whose hand was amputated by the gunmen.
The victims were laid to rest in the village on Monday, August 1 after a funeral mass.
Meanwhile, Member Representing Jos South/Jos Federal Constituency of Plateau State in the House of Representatives Abuja Hon. Dachung Musa Bagos has expressed sadness over the killing of his eight constituents.
The Reps Member also visited Vom Christian Hospital to check the condition of the injured victims including a 40-year-old woman who sustained a gunshot and the baby boy whose right hand was amputated and settled their medical bills.
