A magistrate’s court sitting in Ilorin, capital of Kwara State has directed the remand of three suspected kidnappers in a correctional facility.
WITHIN NIGERIA learnt that the suspects identified as Bature Seriki, Lawal Jamiu and Fatimoh Anaruwa, allegedly kidnapped one Alfa Biliaminu and four of his friends who were coming from Lagos to Ilorin for a burial ceremony.
The police informed the court that Biliaminu and four of his friends were attacked by the suspects and taken to a thick forest at Aboto village in Afon town of Asa LGA.
The prosecutor, Zacchaeus Folorunsho, said, “The combined effort of the police, vigilantes and hunters led to the arrest of the suspects in the bush and they failed to give a satisfactory account of why they were there.”
he Magistrate, Ibrahim Dasuki, ordered their remand and adjourned to August 29.
