Ali Mohammed Jounwiro the current Chairman of Gan Allah Fulani Development Association of Nigeria, GAFDAN, has cried out over a threat to his life.
Jounwiro raised the alarm through a ‘Save-Our-Soul’ letter to the State Governor, Commandant, 22 Armoured Brigade, Sobi Army Barracks, Ilorin, the DSS, the State Police Commissioner, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps and the Emir of Ilorin.
Newsmen gathered that this is the latest outcome of the supremacy battle within the Fulani association.
According to Jounwiro, the recent attempt came up on 11th August, 2022, at about 11.35 p.m, when some suspected hoodlums invaded his house and tried to forcefully gain entrance into the residence but the attempt was resisted.
“Alarms raised by the family made them leave my residence when other community members rose to the occasion.
“This issue has been reported to the Divisional Police Headquarters,” he claimed.
In the letter made available to DAILY POST in Ilorin on Monday, the GAFDAN chairman said his family had been living in absolute fear and apprehension, while his residence had been abandoned for safety reasons.
“It is based on this that we the undersigned on behalf of other executives and members, hereby seek the intervention of your offices to prevent our members from further harassment, humiliation, arrests and detention by members of the security agencies loyal to Harko Usman Adamu and his cohorts on trump up allegations or charges and prevent the breakdown of law and order,” he said.
