Harry Maguire has been advised to leave Manchester United and transfer to Chelsea by former Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Petit.
Petit said that a move to Stamford Bridge would be a ‘win-win’ situation for everyone involved.
The defender for England, Maguire, has had a very difficult time at Old Trafford and has had a very bad start to the new season.
The defender made a record move from Leicester City in 2019 and has been the subject of much criticism from United fans.
The 29-year-old was dropped to the bench as Erik ten Hag’s men beat Liverpool 2-1 in their last outing.
Petit, a former midfielder for Arsenal, Chelsea, Barcelona, and Monaco, believes that Maguire will now have to make due with a supporting role at Old Trafford.
The Manchester United captain has been linked with a shock move to Chelsea in recent weeks.
“For me, I’m not sure Harry Maguire’s future is with Manchester United,” Petit told Fair Betting.
“I think things have gone too far. If I am Maguire, I would probably think about leaving. If I’m Maguire, I cannot see myself playing the next game.
“He needs to take a big decision. If he wants to play for Chelsea, that could be good for him.
“I think it’s a win-win situation for Chelsea and Maguire. If I am Maguire, I would leave Manchester United,” he added.
