A hotel owner known as Chief Ogbonnaya Nwadibia and three other persons have reportedly been killed by gunmen unleashing mayhem in parts of the South East.
They were killed in a hotel at Isu community in the Onicha Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.
The spokesman of the Ebonyi State Police command, SP Chris Anyanwu, who confirmed the incident on Sunday, said the incident occurred on Friday night.
It was gathered that the assailants invaded late Mr Nwadibia’s Galaxy Hotel with sophisticated weapons and opened fire on the victims.
The police spokesman said the details of the incident were still sketchy, saying subsequent developments will be made known to the public.
“Yes, the Command has heard about the incident but we have not gotten the full detail of what really happened,” Anyanwu stated.
