Tears flow as Enugu LG boss visits surviving victims of Adani 6 tragedy

Tears of anguish and sorrow flowed freely in Adani  community, Uzo-Uwani local government area of Enugu state this evening as the Executive chairman of the local government, Hon. Celestine Nnadozie paid consoling visit to the victims of the August 26th tragedy at Agbata Memorial Hospital, Adani.

The visit was predicated upon the unfortunate incident that claimed the lives of six on August 26th in Adani community.

Recall that on the 26th of August,2022, Mr Obinna and relations had gone to perform the marriage rites of his newly married wife. After the event, the groom, Mr Obinna Dieke, his wife, relations from both sides, extended the celebration on reaching Adani.

Sadly, the following morning, none of them was seen outside; a situation which prompted neighbours to break into the house and found everyone lying unconscious. Six persons including the groom died while others, the wife inclusive, were rushed  to the hospital.

However, on reaching the hospital, the resident doctor, Dr Agbata, took the chairman with his entourage around and showed him those affected. The affected children have fully recovered while the adults among them are responding speedily to treatment. He further expressed optimism that in no distant time, everyone of them, will be fine.

Hon Nnadozie, expressing his grief, thanked God for the survival of the rest of members of the family and urged them to trust God because he knows best.

However, pathologists have since been sent to Aru Ike Ndi Oria mortuary, where the bodies were deposited,  at the instance of the chairman to collect samples for autopsy.
