Sky Sports reports that the Professional Game Match Officials Board (PGMOL) has acknowledged that errors were made in the Saturday VAR incidents at Chelsea and Newcastle.
This comes after the Premier League requested that the referees’ body be looked into.
A few decisions that were either not made or were overturned by the use of VAR marred Saturday’s Premier League action.
PGMOL has acknowledged mistakes were made in the incidents that prevented goals for West Ham and Newcastle, following the Premier League’s request for an investigation into crucial decisions made at Stamford Bridge and St James’ Park.
In west London, West Ham were denied a late equaliser when Maxwel Cornet’s goal was chalked off after a VAR review judged that Jarrod Bowen had fouled Chelsea goalkeeper, Edouard Mendy in the build-up.
