Peter Obi, a 2023 presidential candidate, and Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala met in Switzerland on Wednesday.
Obi paid Okonjo-Iweala a visit at the World Trade Organization (WTO) headquarters in Geneva.
The WTO Director-General took office in March 2021, making her the first woman and African to hold the position.
Obi stated that his meeting with the former Finance Minister was to discuss and gain insight into the country’s economic recovery.
The former governor of Anambra State stated that the recovery talks discussed the role of trade and investment in light of the people’s dire situation.
“I thank Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala most sincerely for her time, frank engagement, useful advice and guidance.
“I remain committed to building a better Nigeria for the future generations”, he added.
The Labour Party (LP) flagbearer has been on a tour of foreign countries, since August, for meetings and consultations.
