Not less than three policemen have lost their lives in Enugu State following an attack by unknown gunmen.
It was gathered that the attack took place on Wednesday night at the Chime Avenue, New Haven, Enugu North Local Government Area of the State.
Newsmen learnt that the incident happened after gunmen, driving in a sienna car, overtook the hilux van of the policemen and opened fire on them.
At least three of the police officers were said to have died on the spot.
The Enugu State Police Command is yet to issue a statement on the incident.
