32-year-old herbalist has been arrested by the police for raping a housewife who took her daughter to him for treatment in Bauchi State.
The State Police Spokesperson, SP Ahmed Mohammed Wakil, said the suspect, Monday Ishaku, of Anguwan Ruga in Tafawa Balewa LGA, was arrested after raping the woman in his place.
Wakil explained that the suspect intoxicated the woman before raping her in is house.
The PPRO also said a 25-year-old school teacher, Sirajo Ahmed, was arrested for defiling a seven-year-old pupil in his office in Alkaleri LGA.
He said, “Information received by the police indicate that Ahmed, who lives in Unguwan Ajiya, Alkaleri town, is a teacher in Royal Science Academic School, Alkaleri.”
He further said, “The police also arrested one Sani Musa (35), an ice-cream seller who resides in Bacas area of Bauchi for sodomising a 12-year-old boy behind a bank in Alkaleri.
“Preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect bought a sachet of water from the victim and lured him to a shop and sodomised him there.” (NAN)
