Algeria will be missing defender Abdelkader Bedrane for Tuesday’s international friendly against Nigeria’s Super Eagles.
The 30-year-old Bedrane was hurt last Friday during the Desert Foxes’ 1-0 victory over Syli Nationale of Guinea.
The center-back sprained his ankle in the match, according to information on the Algerian Football Federation’s official website.
Bedrane returned to his Saudi Arabia club, Damac, for further treatment on Sunday.
The former Esperance player has been capped ten times by the North Africans.
He was part of the team that won the FIFA Arab Cup in 2020.
Head coach, Djamel Belmadi is expected to field a strong side against the Super Eagles after he gave a number of newer players a run-out against Guinea.
