Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Romelu Lukaku has no plans to go back to Chelsea after his loan with Inter Milan expires.
Only one year after his club-record £97.5 million transfer to Chelsea, Lukaku returned to the Serie A club on loan for the entire season.
After scoring just eight goals in the Premier League in 2021–2022, the Belgian striker and his former manager Thomas Tuchel split.
It had been expected that Lukaku could get a fresh chance at Stamford Bridge after Graham Potter replaced Tuchel.
However, it is now understood that Lukaku still does not want a return to the Blues.
Inter don’t have a purchase option and will look to loan the 29-year-old once again for the 2023/2024 season.
