A carpenter simply identified as Aare lost his life after the wall of a dilapidated school classroom collapsed on him while working in Okitipupa Local Government Area of Ondo State.
The deceased was said to have gotten a contract from the school to pull down the dilapidated two-classroom building of the Local Authority Primary School, in the community.
According to PUNCH, a source said the deceased started pulling down the building some days earlier but was unlucky on the fateful day when the wall collapsed on him. He was said to have died instantly.
The source added that, “His corpse has been deposited at the morgue of the State Specialist Hospital, Okitipupa.”
The state Police Public Relations Officer, Funmilayo Odunlami, who confirmed the incident said investigations had commenced into the matter.
“We have commenced investigations into the incident,” the PPRO stated.
