The Second Niger Bridge’s construction company, Julius Berger Nigeria Plc, tested the illumination on the bridge after turning on the streetlights.
The bridge, which is currently in its final stages of construction, will soon be commissioned and made available for vehicular traffic, according to Babatunde Fashola, a former governor of Lagos State and current minister of works and housing.
The Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority (NSIA) and the federal ministry of works and housing are working together to manage the Second Niger Bridge, a federal project.
Construction on the bridge began in September 2018.
The bridge spans from Asaba in Delta state to Ozubulu and Ogbaru areas in Anambra state.
