Frank Lampard, the manager of Everton, has outlined the areas where Alex Iwobi needs to improve in order to become a more complete player.
The Nigerian international has received a tonne of praise for his outstanding performances for the Toffees this year.
This season, Iwobi has played in central midfield for Lampard, and the former Arsenal player has rewarded his manager with four assists in eight league appearances.
The 26-year-old has played every minute of Everton’s eight Premier League games this term, making him a central figure in the side.
Despite Iwobi’s superlative performances, Lampard believes he can continue to improve.
“Can he add more to his game? Yes. In and around the final third he can do more because his talent says so.
“In-game he can do more, he can assist more, maybe score himself a bit more, but I’m not complaining there, he’s been fantastic for us,” Lampard told a press conference.
Iwobi is expected to be in action when Everton host Manchester United at the Goodison Park on Sunday night.
