As part of their first-round CAF Champions League matchup against Esperance, Plateau United has travelled to Tunisia for the second leg.
On Thursday morning, the sportsmen and their officials flew to the North African nation from Abuja’s Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport on a Turkish Airlines flight.
The match will take place on Saturday night at the magnificent Stade Olympique Rades.
Plateau United will enter the match with a slim advantage after winning the first leg 2-1.
The Peace Boys, who placed second in the Nigeria Professional Football League last season, have never experienced success while travelling across the continent.
Fidelis Ilechukwu’s side played a 2-2 away draw against Gabonese side, AS Mandji in the preliminary round.
Nigerian champions, Rivers United will also be in action this weekend in the competition against holders, Wydad Casablanca.
The Port Harcourt club won the first leg 2-1.
