Fans of Manchester United have been warned to be concerned about their team’s recent results, particularly after they defeated Omonia Nicosia by a score of 1-0 at Old Trafford in the Europa League.
Jason Cundy, a Chelsea legend, thinks Red Devils supporters need to be “concerned” about what they saw.
Erik ten Hag’s men dominated the entire duration of the game with the Cypriot side but could only secure a 1-0 win against the minnows thanks to a stoppage-time strike from substitute Scott McTominay.
And while many pundits and football lovers would say that it is only the result that matters, Chelsea fan Cundy thinks the problem at Manchester United has not been sorted out.
“United fans and every football fan always has the bigger picture in their mind, what does my club look like?” Cundy told talkSPORT.
“I’ve done it. Look, we[Chelsea] have got Graham Potter in, are we doing okay? Yeah. Are we where we should be? No, we’re not.
“There are still players there who, right now, aren’t performing to the level that I want or expect them to, and if you’re an honest football fan about your club and United fans are generally very honest, they should be saying ‘we got out of jail [against Omonia Nicosia]’
“How can a team like United when playing at home against Omonia Nicosia – a team that genuinely, I’d never heard of them before!
“How can this be happening that Scott McTominay nicks a winner in injury time? If United fans are honest they should say that they’re concerned about their club.”
