The Meta-owned instant messaging software, WhatsApp, is apparently unavailable.
Messages cannot now be sent or received on WhatsApp in Nigeria.
The WhatsApp outage was discovered a few minutes after 8:00 on Tuesday (WAT).
The outage has prevented sending messages to groups, while personal messages display only one tick, an indication that they are sent but not delivered.
WhatsApp is the biggest chat platform in the world, with more than two billion monthly active users, and the third biggest social platform after Facebook and YouTube.
The platform is yet to share an official statement on the same, but there should be more information soon enough.
Details later…
