Argentina and Portugal will play in the 2022 World Cup final, according to a supercomputer used by BCA Research.

Argentina is led by Lionel Messi of Paris Saint-Germain, while Cristiano Ronaldo captains Portugal.

According to The Sun, the experiment finalised its prediction using EA Sports FIFA video game player statistics and a sample of all real-life matches from the previous four World Cup tournaments.

The supercomputer then predicted that Messi would win the World Cup, defeating Ronaldo and Portugal.

England, according to the Computer, will make the semi-finals but bow out to Portugal on penalties.

35-year-old Lionel Messi and 37-year-old Cristiano Ronaldo are playing in their final FIFA World Cup tournament.
