JUST IN: Popular Mall, Jabi Lake resumes operations in Abuja after shutting down over terror alert

The Management of Jabi Lake Mall in Abuja’s Utako District has reopened the store to patrons and employees.

On Friday, the mall posted on Instagram to proclaim its reopening and to ask for assistance from the security forces conducting searches.

The Federal Capital Territory Administration, leaders of security agencies, and the Federal Government advised against reopening, according to the management.

Within Nigeria had earlier reported that the Mall halted Thursday’s activities in order to protect the safety of its patrons and employees.

The post read, “To all our valued shoppers. “Centre Management will implement security measures to ensure everyone’s safety and maintain the highest vigilance. We ask everyone to be patient with the security operatives and allow them to conduct the necessary searches for a safe environment.

“Centre Management will continue to monitor the situation as the safety of our staff and shoppers remains our highest priority. We are happy to welcome you all back for a quality shopping experience
